What is restaurant scheduling software?
Restaurant scheduling software builds the team’s timetable, role by role and service by service. Enskel starts from the forecast footfall of each service and matches it against your team’s roles, skills and availability. The manager receives a rota ready to confirm; head office sees the team make-up at each site.
How do you match the staff rota to footfall?
By starting from the moments of the service rather than the day’s volume: prep, the peak and the clean-down need the team at different times. Enskel reads these moments in the forecast footfall, service by service, and shows the forecast’s possible error. The step-by-step method is in the staff rota guide.
What is the labour cost ratio?
It is the cost of staff, wages and employer contributions, divided by revenue excl. VAT for the same period. Useful for following a trend, it doesn’t tell you on its own whether the team was there at the right time: the same ratio can hide a poorly covered peak and overstaffed quiet hours. How it is tracked in Enskel is checked with you during the demo.
Which constraints does the rota take into account?
Each person’s roles, skills and availability, set against the forecast footfall of each service. The rest of your organisation is worked out with you at the start. Preferences, special constraints and unforeseen situations stay in the hands of the manager, who adjusts then confirms the rota.
Does the rota take employment law into account?
In France, as a general rule, an adult employee is entitled to at least 11 consecutive hours of rest between two working days and works no more than 10 hours of actual work per day; a collective agreement may provide for exceptions. How Enskel takes these rules into account is checked with you during the demo. In any case, it is the manager who confirms the rota.
Is scheduling connected to forecasting?
Yes, with the Forecasting package: the forecast footfall of each service is the basis for the rota, which AI automates and optimises, and the forecast’s possible error is shown. In the Operations package, Scheduling is your teams’ tool, without this automation. Both packages are detailed on the Pricing page.
Can the rota be used across several sites?
Yes. Each site has its own rota, matched to its own rhythm and footfall. The site manager and head office read the same rota; head office also sees the team make-up at each site, to compare sites without mixing them up.
